How to Naturally Enhance Libido Through Brain Chemistry

I have many pals dealing alongside minimal sex disc drive and additionally it is because of early menopause. Hope the couple can get a hold of something that helps them, though.

Stress has become a part of our DNA. We are always stressed – at work or at home. The only thing we do to drive away stress is gulp down a couple of whiskey shots, which add visceral fat inside us. Well, some amount of stress is good, but being stressed all the time releases the cortisol hormone in our body. Cortisol drops our testosterone levels and that reduces our sex drive. The lesson is that we must do anything (meditation, exercise, new job, vacation, etc.) to cut out stress from our life.

Dear Dr S, For what its worth: Due to chronic stress & depression, etc. I haven't woken up with an erection in 2 years or more... Took a 5-HTP formulation last night for the first and woke up aroused, unbelievable! Sleep wasn't great, however: anxious heartbeat upon lying down followed by waking up way too early. Will experiment with dosage time, maybe not immediately before bed would be better? Also, tyrosine has helped me immensely with stress response and morning anxiety/heart racing. Would taking it at night along with 5-HTP help counteract the negative effects of the 5-HTP or is tyrosine better taken upon waking up? Well, I'm glad to be learning more about amino acids. Still have a lot of fine-tuning to do but I finally feel like there may be some improvement on the horizon.

Oliver - If the 5-HTP is giving you an adverse reaction, we suggest that you discontinue it. We don't know if combining it with tyrosine would help. Perhaps you may want to try tryptophan instead of the 5-HTP. Just like the 5HTP, it supports serotonin synthesis. In addition, it may enhance sleep.
